MEET THE BAND:

Ash King (vocals/tamborine)

Ash has been singing for over fifteen years, with a firm foundation in classical and music theatre. She has featured in a range of professional musical productions at Star City’s Lyric Theatre, NIDA’s Palace Theatre and the Sydney Theatre Company, and has sung alongside notable Australian musicians such as Peter Northcote, Brydon Stace and Simon Meli.  Her years of performance experience with a range of Sydney’s best covers bands make her a captivating and vibrant performer and a vocal tour-de-force (she also plays a mean cowbell.)

Chris Long (piano/keyboards)

Chris is a professional freelance musician trained at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and has been performing regularly in Sydney for many years as a band leader, accompanist, session musician and jazz pianist. In these roles he has performed at such venues as the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Entertainment Centre, The Piano Room, 505 and Excelsior Hotel.

Cameron Whipp (bass)

Cameron started out on guitar jamming the 12 bar blues at 12 years old. He learnt the old jazz classics and spent many an hour shaping inversions and mastering lead lines with the help of Charlie Parker records. Throughout his teens he steadily digested more jazz records and found his love of the upright bass, amongst other instruments and continues to listen and perform under various projects. In 2009, Cameron toured the UK with Aria award winning duo Angus & Julia Stone.

Paul Mason (guitar)

Paul Mason is an up and coming guitarist in the Sydney music scene. He has worked with Stan Walker, Chad Wackerman, James Morrison, Paulini, John Foreman, Darryl Beaton to name a few. He is currently the guitarist for Australian idol Stan Walker. He has played at venues such as The Sydney Opera House, The Sydney Entertainment Centre and The Basement as well as many bars, pubs and clubs in and around Sydney. Paul has also won national awards for young jazz instrumentalists. Paul’s career so far has involved touring, live playing and recording sessions. All for various artists across a wide range of musical styles.

Nick Meredith (drums)

Nick grew up in the Southern Highlands town of Bowral and moved to Sydney at the age of 17 to play in rock bands. Since then, Nick has grown into a diverse musician, playing with a wide variety of artists including Meow Meow, Jimmy Barnes, Lee Kerneghan, Dave Panichi and Dale Barlow. Nick maintains a busy schedule, touring both nationally and internationally. He has completed numerous Australian, European and North American tours as well as recording dates in London, Berlin and New York.
